Destination: Cozumel

Lori H. of Pine Island, MN
Destination: Cozumel
Resort: Melia Cozumel
Date: January 2011

The Melia is a wonderful place to stay, it is quiet, clean and the people are very friendly.

I would recommend the Melia in Cozumel.
We had a great time in downtown Cozumel also, shopping, eating and people watching.

But most of all it was relaxing and that is what we wanted.

It rained on and off for 2 days, and then was nice and 80 degrees.
Much better that back here with below 0 temps.

Destination: Mazatlan

Ryan S. of Rochester, MN
Destination: Mazatlan, Mexico
Resort: RIU Emerald Bay
Date: December 2010

Our vacation was great! The RIU was overwhelming at first since it is so much larger than the Playa Car, but we got over that pretty quick. We spent the first few days just lying around and wandering the beach. We did go to the downtown area and also to the golden zone. The only excursion we did was Deer Island, but it was definitely one of the highlights of our trip and we would likely go on it again if we went back. We did wander up the beach to the Mr. Lionso restaurant for dinner one night and also further back from that to a small market place and a few other small, but very tasty seafood shacks.

The only complaint we had was the difficulty of getting into the themed restaurants. The first morning we were there we got to the customer service desk around 730 or 8 and they were all booked for that night except for one reservation at 9. But this was very minor to us especially after we found the oceanside shack selling fresh oysters, crab and fish!

So we loved it!
Here are some pictures from our trip:
